HE Sheikh Saoud in Sports Ties Talks with Visiting Belgian Panel
Doha, September 23 (QNA) - The Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani hailed Qatar's bilateral ties in all fields, particularly sports, with Belgium during his talks with senior officials here.
Sheikh Saoud met with members of a high-level Belgian delegation from the Committee for Culture, Youth, Sports and Media led by Carl Dicarlo during their visit to the QOC headquarters.
Dicarlo lauded Qatar's achievements, particularly in sports, and the country's success in hosting major international events as well its drive to develop a top class sports infrastructure.
The senior officials discussed ways and means of enhancing sporting ties between Qatar and Belgium during their talks.
QOC Assistant Secretary General for Administrative support Mishaal Nasser Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
Local sports officials oriented the visiting delegation on QOC's programmes like 'Sport for Life', 'Sport for All', 'and Schools Olympic Programme ‘and’ Al Firjan playgrounds'.
