HH the Emir Meets Heads of Delegations Participating in 66th Session of UNGA
New York, September 22 (QNA) - HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Thursday met at The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office in New York a number of heads of delegations of States participating in the 66th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
HH the Emir met the President of the Union of Comoros Dr. Ikililou Dhoinine, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Ernest Koroma and President of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa.
HH the Emir also met Chairman of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdul Jalil, the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso.
Talks during the meetings dealt with bilateral relations and the most important topics on the agenda of the current Session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting was attended by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, and a number of Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
