POLICE INVESTIGATE FIVE ILLEGAL AUSTRALIANS IN MERAUKE

Merauke, Indonesia, Sept 23 (ANTARA) - An 8-member police team is still investigating a group of five Australians who entered Marauke illegally.
ANTARA reported from Marauke that the five Australians with no visas recently landed in Merauke on board a small V-68 plane.
Besides, the aircraft piloted by Wiliam Henry Scott Bloxom and Vera Scott Bloxom did not have the stndard documents, like security clearance and flight approval.
The police is also investigating the other Australians who did not have any legal papers for entering a foreign country.
The Merauke Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Made Djuliadi said the provisional results of the investigation cannot be made public, because the case had been taken over by the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta.
He told the Australian introducers that not all airports in Indonesia are authorized to issue visas on arrival. And Merauke is not an international airport, which normally is authorized to issue such facility, Merauke regent Gebze said.
