Air India moves Toronto, Amritsar flights via London

Toronto, Sept 23 (PTI) Air India will operate its three
weekly flights from Toronto to Amritsar via London (Heathrow),
instead of its present routing via Birmingham, from October 26
this year.

The new flights will operate via London on every Tuesday,
Friday and Sunday, Air India spokesperson Ram Kolipakam, said
yesterday.

The Tuesday flights will depart Toronto from Terminal 1
at 9:50 PM and arrive into London at 8:30 AM the following
morning, whilst the Friday and Sunday flights will depart at
11:30 PM, arriving into London at 10:15 AM, the following
morning.

The airline has also introduced special introductory
fares for travel to London to promote the destination,
Kolipakam said.

The arrival into Amritsar for the Tuesday flights will be
11:55 PM the following day. While the Friday and Sunday
flights will arrive at 1:35 AM (two days after its departure
from Toronto), respectively.

On the return, the flights will depart from Amritsar at
6:40 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays, arriving Toronto at 3:35 PM,
whilst the Sunday flights will depart Amritsar at 9:15 AM, and
arrive into Toronto Terminal 1, at 6:15 PM (Local time).

The above flights from Toronto via London will be in
addition to the daily flights operated by Air India to London
from New York, as well as the daily Delhi-London terminators
presently in operation, he added.
