Global Oil Supplies "Comfortable" - Minister

Doha, September 20 (QNA) - HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, described supplies in the world oil market as "comfortable" and said it was too early to determine whether / OPEC / will cut production of this strategic commodity.
He also said in a press statement on the sidelines of the Second Annual GPCA Fertilizers Convention, which kicked off today, that OPEC is closely following up the situation in Europe and the local level in Qatar and at the level of OPEC as a whole.
HE Dr. Al Sada noted that the growth rates of global economic and financial turmoil in the euro area has become a major determinant in the volatility of oil prices globally.
The Gulf Forum's annual fertilizer industry reflects the bright and positive image of the Gulf Cooperation, and stressed the need for enhancing the GCC joint effort for the progress of the peoples of the region to achieve the greatest possible good for the coming generations.
He pointed out that the holding of such meetings is of great importance to the GCC countries and highlight the determination to rise to the level of rapid scientific and technical changes in this area.
He said that the Second Annual GPCA Fertilizers Convention, which includes a selection of officials and specialists in the fertilizers and petrochemicals industry is capable of reaching a constructive outcome to help confront the fundamental problems and constraints related to this sector.
