Apple releases latest iPod line in Korea

SEOUL, Sept. 23 (Yonhap) -- Apple Inc. released on Tuesday its latest line of its
iPod portable music and media players in South Korea, the U.S. company's local
unit said.
The second-generation iPod Touch and the fourth-generation iPod nano, first
unveiled by Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs earlier this month in the U.S., were
released for sale in South Korea, according to Apple Korea.
The new iPod Touch, an upgraded and slimmer version of its Internet-enabled
predecessor released last year, now comes with a built-in speaker and external
keys for volume control. Pricing of the model, which comes in 8, 16 and
32-gigabyte formats, begins at 288,000 won (US$250).
The latest iPod nano, which comes in nine different colors of 8 and 16 gigabyte
formats, has a 2-inch display and is equipped with a built-in motion-sensing
"accelerometer" which allows various controls by shaking and rotating the device.
Pricing starts at 180,000 won.
