NESTLE: PRODUCTS IN MALAYSIA SAFE FOR CONSUMPTION

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd has assured its
customers that all its products are safe for consumption.

In a statement Monday, Nestle Malaysia said the milk powder for its
dairy-based products are sourced from suppliers in Australia, New Zealand,
Europe or the United States.

Nestle Malaysia said the company does not import any milk powder from
China as raw material or ingredients for any of its milk powders in Malaysia
including Lactogen, Neslac, Nespray Everyday and Nestle Omega Plus and
dairy-based products such as Milo, ice-cream and yogurt products.

"All milk powder supplied to Nestle is checked and verified for safety and
quality. Nestle applies very strict quality control measures and risk assessment
at all levels of its raw material sourcing and manufacturing processes," it
said.

Nestle Malaysia said it had also written to the Health Ministry to confirm
the safety of its products in Malaysia.
