Maliki stresses necessity of Iraqi-US cooperation continuation
Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki stressed during a meeting with American State Department Undersecretary, William Burns, the necessity of the Iraq-US cooperation continuation in all domains within SOFA.
A statement issued by Maliki’s office mentioned that Burns renewed his country’s support to the Iraqi government with all the efforts it is carrying out to maintain Iraq’s stability and prosperity, and to build real partnership in all fields as well as arming and training th Iraqi forces.
The statement added that the American official presented to Maliki his country’s vision about the current events in the regional countries.
“Maliki reiterated the necessity of meeting the peoples’ demands and give them freedom and to continue dialogue in a peaceful way,” the statement concluded.
