Deputy Governor of Anbar denies news about assassination attempt against Karbala PC chairman in Anbar

Ramadi (NINA) – Deputy Governor of Anbar, Hikmat Jasim Zaidan, denied media reports that refered to an assassination attemot against Karbala Provincial Council Chairman inAl Nukheeb District-Anbar Province.

He told NINA correspondent “those allegations and news are baseless. The Karbala PC chairman has not visited to Anbar.”

Zaidan added “Anbar is subjected currently to a campaign of misleading propaganda by some media outlets and political entities that aim at creating a state of instability in the province and give a vague and dark image about the security, social, and political status in the province.”

Zaidan explained “Karbala governor and officials are on ongoing contact with the Anbar governor and officials in any joint case. There is a kind of correspondence in visions among us in different domains,” expressing grief over attempts by others who want to disturb the relations between Anbar and Karbala in order to create a state of instability.

Deputy Chairman of Karbala PC, Nuseif Jasim Al Khatab, also denied that the Karbala PC chairman was subjected to an assassination attempt in Anbar.

In a press conference today, the Karbala PC chairman Mohammed Al Musawi, said he was not subjected to an assassination and that he is in Anbar to follow up on the criminals of Nukheeb incident.

News mentioned that Musawi was subjected to an assassination attempt and that a Sudanese person was arrested in Nukheeb and that he was putting an explosive belt on.
