Vietnam, Singapore working together for a healthy future
Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese and Singaporean Health Ministries have signed an agreement to boost cooperation in developing medical networks, health insurance, hi-tech training, the treatment of incurable diseases and epidemic control.
The agreement was signed during a working visit to Singapore by Health
Minister Nguyen Quoc Trieu from Sept. 18-20 at the invitation of his
Singaporean counterpart Khaw Boon Wan.
During the visit the two sides held talks on measures to increase
cooperation, technological transfer and the training of experts.
They agreed that healthcare development must focus on hi-tech development
and the expansion of initial healthcare with preventative medical care at
its core.
Whilst in Singapore, Minister Trieu and his entourage visited several major
hospitals, including Tan Tock Seng, SingHealth and KK children's and
obstetric hospital to learn about administrative management, salaries,
treatment fees, as well as aspects of patients' care and treatment.
The Vietnamese delegation also visited the headquarters of the SOS
