Jumaily: targeting Dr. Allawi means targeting the IS and the national program he adopts
Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the Iraqiya Slate in Parliament, Salman Al Jumaily, said “Dr. Iyad Allawi is a national leader and a genuine participant in the political process, targeting him is targeting the whole IS and dismantle its lines.”
In a statement to NINA, Jumaily said, in response to statements given by Premier Nouri Al Maliki that Dr. Allawi is no longer an acceptable partner in the political process, “targeting IS and its leader is a redline for the IS MPs and its supporters who granted Dr. Allawi hundreds of thousands of votes, a thing that represents a referendum on his national program.”
He continued “as for the participation in the political process, it is a patriotic right that nobody has the ability to take it away from anybody else.”
