Zibari, AL Arabi discuss developments in the Arab region
Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zibari, discussed with the Arab League Secretary General, Nabeel Al Arabi, the developments in the Arab region.
A statement issued by the ministry today said “both sides reviewed the developments in the Arab arena. Al Arabi presented a comprehensive explanation of the role the AL could play regarding the current events.”
During the meeting, the coming Arab Summit was confirmed to be held in Baghdad, in addition to the agreement that Iraq will have an effective representation in the Secretariat General posts of the AL, especially regarding the Assistant Secretary General, Secretary General Councilor, and head of a mission of the AL abroad.”
Al Arabi expressed desire to visit Baghdad soon to discuss the arrangements and preparations for the Arab Summit to be held on time.
