Saudi Arabia celebrates 78th anniversary of its National Day 6

SPA - As regards Lebanon, the Kingdom condemned the Israeli attack on the country in 2006 and warned against the serious repercussions of the attack.


Moreover, King Abdullah called for launching a popular campaign for
collection of donations for Lebanon and ordered depositing $1 billon
at the Lebanese central bank.


He also ordered remittance of $ 250 million to Lebanon.


At Paris conference, held in January 2007, the Kingdom extended $1
billion to support development projects in Lebanon in addition to a
$100 million grant.


As regards Iraq, the Kingdom called for international cooperation
for the settlement of the Iraqi problem.


The Kingdom is keen on uniting the Arab and Muslim ranks and
avoiding the menace of sectarian and communal strife.
