Saudi Arabia celebrates 78th anniversary of its National Day 7

SPA - The Kingdom never intervenes in the domestic affairs of the other countries and works for the settlement of disputes among other
countries.


Within the framework of this policy, King Abdullah mediated to
settle the Sudanese-Chadian dispute in May last year, and in
September 2007 a Somalian reconciliation conference was held in
Jeddah under the patronage of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
King Abdullah has proved that he is the foremost personality of
peace.


In line with the teachings of Islam, the Kingdom has been calling
for fighting terrorism and crime as well as international cooperation
for helping the developing societies.


King Abdullah has called for dialogue of civilization and narrowing
the gaps among their followers.


King Abdullah called for convening an international conference for
combating terrorism in Riyadh in February 2005.


The conference was attended by representatives of more than 50 Arab,
Islamic and foreign countries in addition to representatives of a
number of Arab, regional and international organizations.


In Shawal 1426 AH, the general assembly of the World Trade
Organization (WTO) at its session held in Geneva approved the
documents of the Kingdom's admission to the organization. The Kingdom
has become the 49th member of the WTO.


King Abdullah is keen on participating in regional, Arab and
international conferences and to effectively contribute to laying
foundation for an international community where peace, security and
fraternity prevail.
