HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meets French Envoy on Darfur
Doha, September 12 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud conferred here on Monday with French special envoy on Darfur Frederic Clavier who is now visiting Doha to attend the inaugural meeting of the follow-up committee for the implementation of the Doha document on peace in Darfur which concluded here earlier Sunday.
They discussed the outcomes of the said meeting and a set of other issues of common concern.
A number of foreign ministry officials attended the meeting.
The follow-up committee for the implementation of the Doha document on peace in Darfur was chaired by the State of Qatar with participation of the committee member states, international and regional partners, Arab League envoy to Sudan, UNAMID's Joint Special Representative (JSR) Ibrahim Gambari, Sudan's state minister at the Presidency Affairs ministry Amin Hassan Omer and Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) head, Dr. Al-Tijani Sisi.
