Bottle-nose dolphin found dead on Thai beach
BANGKOK, September 12 (TNA) - A dead Bottle-nose dolphin has been washed ashore on Khao Tao Beach in Hua Hin resort district of Prachuab Kiri Khan Province in the Upper Thai South.
The two-metre bottle-nose dolphin, weighing around 200 kilograms, was found with a deep, serious wound at its head, initially assumed to have been caused by fishing equipment.
A witness said the adult dolphin was first seen swimming close to the beach, but was later washed ashore dead. According to the witness, normally, local villagers do not kill or harm dolphins, as they have often seen near the shore in groups to hunt for little fish. (TNA)
