Doha Hosts ecoQ in October
Doha, September 11 (QNA) - A three-day Qatar International Environment Protection and Sustainable Energy Exhibition & Conference (ecoQ) will begin here on October 16.
The event is officially supported by the Ministry of Environment in Qatar, Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and The German Delegation for Trade & Commerce AHK, Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute, Friends of the Environment Center in Qatar and Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science (UNESCO).
The organizing committee of Qatar International Environment Protection and Sustainable Energy Exhibition & Conference (ecoQ) has announced the participation of a number of major Japanese corporations in the expo which will take place 16-18 next October at the Doha Exhibition Center.
Global renowned names such as Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries LTD, Sharp Corporation, Naturock Japan Co. Ltd, Lixil Corporation and Taisei Corporation, are currently gearing up to present their latest innovative technologies, products and solutions in the Environment sector to Qatar.
The expo will showcase latest Technologies, Products on environment protection and sustainable and renewable energy covering various related sectors such as: Solar Energy PV, Green building, Sustainable cities Architecture, Recycling Technologies, Air pollution treatment, Eco friendly transportation, Aviation & Aerospace Bio-fuel, Eco-friendly cooling systems, e-waste, Marine protection and reservation, and many more. The conference will discuss several environmental topics and issues from a regional and local perspective.
Hosted by the Japanese Embassy in Qatar, Mr. Tadashi Maeda, Special Advisor to the Cabinet of Japan, will have presentation in the conference of ecoQ expo to introduce Japanese strategy on deployment of the packaged infrastructure to overseas market and its advanced technologies on energy efficiency and energy conservation.
HE Ambassador of Japan to Qatar Kenjiro Monji said that Japan and Qatar have enjoyed excellent relationship for many years based on economic ties centered on energy. "However, now is time to diversify our relations to cover other areas beyond energy. Japan has gone a long way in developing solutions and technologies to protect the environment and achieve sustainability", said Ambassador Monji. "We are pleased to welcome a number of Japan s leading business corporations in ecoQ expo next October. ecoQ will provide an excellent platform for these corporations to present their latest technologies and services to the Qatar market. The Japanese Pavilion in ecoQ will provide visitors a closer look at some of the world’s most advanced technologies and products used to preserve the environment offered by some of the leading corporations in Japan", added Ambassador Monji.
