Yawar proposes Dr. Iyad Allawi for MOD
Mosul (NINA) – MP from the Iraqiya Slate Ajeel Hameedi Al Yawar expressed belief that the Ministry of Defense should be assigned to head of the IS, Dr. Iyad Allawi, “for the importance of the coming stage in Iraq especially with the American forces’ withdrawal and the presence of those who are apt to confuse the situation in order to keep the Americans here.”
In a statement to NINA, Yawar said “Allawi enjoys good reputation among Iraqis and the Iraqi Army; he also has the ability to run an important ministry such as MOD.”
He explained “the security file is very important in Iraq, Allawi is knows that fact and he is an acceptable figure among most Iraqis.”
