Maliki approves resignation of Integrity Commission’s chairman
Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki approved the resignation of acting chairman of the Integrity Commission, Judge Raheem Al Ageeli.
A short statement issued by Maliki’s office today said “upon Ageeli’s willingness to resign his post, PM Maliki decided to approve his request.”
Acquainted sources announced that chairman of the Integrity Commission officially submitted his resignation to Maliki.
The sources told NINA “Ageeli resigned due to political pressures on him by different political sides,” without naming these sides.
The source mentioned also that Ageeli’s resignation took place under circumstances regarding the work of the integrity commission, which Ageeli tries to distance from connecting it to any political side.
