KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- The sighting of the Syawal new moon to determine the date for Hari Raya Puasa (Eid al-fitr marking the end of the fasting month) will be held at 29 places nationwide on Monday.
The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal will announce the date over radio and
television the same night, according to a statement from his office.
The Conference of Rulers has given its consent that the date for Hari Raya
Puasa be fixed based on the sighting of the new moon and calculation, the
statement adds.
