ILO Praises Qatar for Banning Use of Children in Camel Races

Geneva, September 08 (QNA) - The International Labour Organization (ILO) praised the measures taken by the State of Qatar for prohibiting the use of children in camel racing through the use of robots.
According to the Ministry of Labour, this praise came in a report of the ILO Committee of Experts on Application of Conventions and Recommendations on Qatar's application of Convention No.(182) for the year 1991 on the Worst Forms of Child Labour.
Robots jockeys were developed in Qatar for camel races in 2004. (QNA)
