Wasit PC approves MOU with US company to build oil refinery
Kut (NINA) – Wasit Provincial Council approved signing a memorandum of understanding with an American company specialized company in oil projects to build an oil refinery.
Deputy PC chairman, Mahdi Al Musawi, told NINA correspondent “for the lack of fuel in the province, the PC decided to sign an MOU with an American company to build a 150.000 BPD refinery from the oil produced in the province.”
He added “the council prepared a plan to increase the Wasit Fund income which pays the salaries and the donations to the orphans, widows, and handicapped in addition to helping the sick to get treatment outside Iraq.”
