Planning Ministry: inspection patrols in the markets to spotlight bad merchandise

Baghdad (NINA) – Inspector General’s office in the Ministry of Planning announced it is cooperating on a high level within a joint working mechanism with the Quality Control System to spotlight the bad merchandise.

A statement issued by the ministry today quoted the Inspector General, Hasan Al Qaraguly, as saying “a joint committee conducted field inspections in the local markets of Baghdad and brought samples from these markets and tested them in the Quality Control labs.”

“In case the merchandise were found bad and not meeting the Iraqi Standards, a copy of the report will be sent to the Health Monitoring Department in order it would be distributed to all branches and the merchandise taken out of the market,” he concluded.
