Labour Ministry to launch “E-Service” platform next year

BANGKOK, September 8 (TNA) - The Labour Ministry will open its own “E-Service” platform to accommodate the country’s skills development programme for workers, starting from January 1, 2012.

Labour Minister Phadermchai Sasomsap told reporters of the news on Thursday at seminar held at the IMPACT Convention Centre in Muang Thong Thani, on the outskirts of Bangkok.

Minister Phadermchai said the “E-service” project would help businesses nationwide by streamlining their applications for skills training courses and approval of curricula structure and training expenses, as stipulated by the Skills Development Promotion Act B.E. 2545.

He also said with the “E-service”, businesses could save time by tendering their applications online, while reducing the application assessment period down to one week from one month previously.
