Thai PM to introduce herself to Southeast Asian leaders

BANGKOK, September 8 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will make official visits to introduce herself to four Southeast Asian countries.
Government spokesperson Thitima Chaisaeng said on Thursday premier Yingluck would travel to Brunei on September 10 to meet with the Sultan of Brunei. During her trip, Yingluck was expected to hold talks on bilateral relations and cooperative agreements, especially as Brunei was a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), which helped Thailand remedy its southern insurgency issue.
Thitima also said on September 12, Yingluck would visit Indonesia, the current chair of ASEAN, to discuss on energy and fisheries cooperation with the Indonesian leader, and to convey thanks to the Indonesian government for mediating the Thai-Cambodian dispute.
The government spokesperson further said the Thai premier would travel to Laos and Cambodia on September 15 and 16, respectively, for a one-day working visit. (TNA)
