Education Minster: Salary Increase Will Contribute to Realizing More Successes in Schools

Doha, September 07 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud has extended his thanks and gratitude to HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for the Emiri decision No. 50 of 2011 issued by HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and increased the salary of civilian employees in the state by 60% in both basic salary and social allowances.
In a press statement today, HE the Minister said the increase of salaries of all employees of Independent Schools, including their operators, will have a positive impact on employees and bring further success in the schools as well as make all workers in the education sector redouble efforts and work tirelessly to attain quality in educating Qataris in view of the wise government policy which aimed at improving the status of citizens and enabling them to achieve Qatar National Vision.
The employees of Independent Schools said they were very happy with their salary increase and that they will dedicate more efforts to work.
