Zebari stresses Iraq’s positive role since the Nonaligned Movement in 1961

Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, stressed Iraq’s positive role since the the Nonaligned Movement was established 50 years ago, and its participation in the Movement’s First Summit in September 1961.

Delivering Iraq’s speech on Tuesday, Sep. 6, before the Movement’s meeting being held in Belgrade, Zebari stressed Iraq’s keenness on respecting the movement’s principles in its international relations; affirming that the Movement's role remains important, especially within the frame of multi sides negotiation and its endeavor to establish a just international economic system.

In his speech, Zebari stressed Iraq’s full support to the Palestinians’ struggle to regain their rights, including the establishing of a Palestinian State with its capital in Quds; and its support to the Palestinian Authority in seeking the United Nations full recognition of a Palestinian State.
