Samsung unveils its 2nd Armani-designed phone

SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second-largest mobile phone maker, said Monday it has introduced its latest mobile phone produced jointly with Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani.

The model M75500, nicknamed Night Effect, was unveiled at a press event held in
Milan, Italy, on Sunday, the South Korean company said in a statement.
The bar-type phone, designed by Armani himself, is the second handset produced
jointly by the two companies. It comes with AM OLED-based screen and supports MP3
and WMA computer music files for playback.
Samsung forged a relationship with Armani last year after its domestic rival LG
Electronics unveiled a phone with the brand of the Italian fashion company Prada
to target high-end customers at home and abroad.
The phone will retail starting in November in Europe through major mobile phone
retailers, as well as all Emporio Armani stores. Prices have not been decided
yet.
