19th SEAZA session to convene in Pattaya City

BANGKOK, September 6 (TNA) - Thailand will host the 19th technical seminar of the Southeast Asian Zoos Association (SEAZA) in Chonburi’s Pattaya City from September 12-14.
Director of the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand Pimuk Simaroj said on Monday the seminar will be attended by 14 SEAZA member countries with a common objective of returning endangered animal species to the nature.
During the three-day seminar, representatives of SEAZA member countries will also have an opportunity to participate in a study visit to the Khao Kheow Open Zoo, a renowned center for animal research.
Meanwhile, Chair of SEAZA Sophon Dumnui said the activity will allow SEAZA members to deepen their cooperation on all-round framework of zoo development, particularly on artificial breeding and cloning methods, in order to conserve animal species from extinction. (TNA)
