INDONESIA CONDEMNS HOTEL BOMBING IN PAKISTAN
Jakarta, Sept 21 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government strongly condemned the bombing at the Marriot Hotel in Pakistan on Friday that left 60 people dead.
"The Indonesian government strongly condemned the terrorist attack at Hotel Marriot in Pakistan. We expressed condolences to the victims both foreigners or Pakistanis," presidential spokesman Dino Pati Djalal said at the state palace here on Sunday.
He said Indonesia hoped the Pakistani security authorities could arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
"I have conducted a check at the Indonesian embassy there and found that no Indonesins were among the victims and we have also asked the embassy to ask Indonesians living in Pakistan to be careful because the political situation there is still unstable," he said.
He said Indonesia hoped the terrorist attack would not disrupt restoration of democracy in that country.
