MP: the parliament will dedicate a session to adopt decision about Port Mubarak

Baghdad (NINA) – MP from the State of Law Abdul Salam Al Maliki announced that the parliament will soon dedicate a session to host the technical committee that went to Kuwait to get to know the details about the Port Mubarak and adopt the proper decision.

In a statement to NINA, Maliki said today “the parliament is determined to find proper solutions for the Port issue, in consultation with the government.”

He added “Iraq refuses military choices; the government is serious about finding a solution for the issue in the diplomatic means and to hold dialogues and mend fences. The government does want to do anything that could harm the bilateral relations.”

Maliki explained that “the Kuwaiti accusation to Iraq of launching missiles against its port is an excuse to mislead the world’s public opinion to its side.”

“Iraq is still an open field for a lot of the anti-occupation powers and militias, Kuwait is responsible in the first place for the missiles issue because it insists on harming Iraq through building Port Mubarak,” he went on saying.
