Thai people quite satisfied with Yingluck government: Survey
BANGKOK, September 4 (TNA) - An opinion survey released Sunday found that the Yingluck Shinawatra government received a public support score of 5.51 from a total 10 points in August, despite people’s displeasure with the government for being too slow to solve their hardship.
According to the opinion survey by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, the government performance in information distribution received the highest score of 6.32 while the prime minister’s performances registered at 6.14 points. The poll also ranked the overall performance of political parties at 6.01 points while the opposition parties at 5.96 points.
In another survey conducted by the Assumption University, some respondents said they were dissatisfied with the government for being too slow to act in solving flood problems, soaring product prices, high costs of living, and low wages.
Nevertheless, over 78 percent of respondents said they will give the government times to prove its worth while 84 percent still think that corruption remains a factor that will shorten the government’s term. (TNA)
