Thailand's inter-provincial bus operators to lower fares

BANGKOK, September 3 (TNA) - President of Thailand's Inter-Provincial Bus Operators Association Suchinda Cherdchai announced Saturday that fares will be cut by 2 satang (Bt0.02) per kilometer for a fixed three-month period.
Suchinda said that the country's inter-provincial bus operators have unanimously agreed for the fare reduction to support the government’s moves on lowering people's costs of living.
According to the Inter-Provincial Bus Operators Association chief, the resolution of the fare cut will be forwarded to Transport Company Limited on September 5 before the new rates taking effect about one week thereafter. (TNA)
