STATE SECRETARY D.TSOGTBAATAR MEETS HIS COUNTERPART OF FINLAND
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Friday, September 2, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar met his counterpart of the Republic of Finland Mr. Pertti Torstila, in the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, they mentioned that a visit of the President of Finland to Mongolia has opened a new chapter on the bilateral relations, and accorded with an agreement to attach a great importance to realize matters discussed during the visit.
Mr. Tsogtbaatar highlighted an important role of the intergovernmental commission in the bilateral relations and cooperation, and then thanked the Finnish side for successfully organizing the latest meeting of the commission. He said that the government of Mongolia is working to implement measures within the intergovernmental commission.
The sides agreed that general interests of the countries such as strengthening the democracy, building market economy and respecting human rights positively influence to development of the bilateral relations. They discussed an issue on implementing specific measures focused on the ties between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
The State Secretary D.Tsogtbaatar also exchanged views with his counterpart on other issues, and said Mongolia has an aspiration to cooperate with the Republic of Finland within the United Nations and other international organizations.
