Three face court over Greenacre shooting
Three people have faced court over a gun battle between two cars in Sydney's west.
Hussayn Ryad Toby, 35, Khoder Katrib, 27 and Giselle Taylor, 24, appeared in Bankstown local court following Monday's shooting in Greenacre.
The incident involved the occupants of two cars spraying up to 12 bullets at each other near the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Mimosa Road just before 10pm (AEST), police say.
Two of the bullets were later found lodged in the front of a nearby house. The family of four who were inside escaped injury.
Toby, who has been charged with firing the gun on the night, has been remanded in custody until October 24 while Katrib and Taylor were granted conditional bail.
Magistrate Garry Still said there was "no evidence" Taylor was directly involved, adding that she was believed to be in the car at the time of the incident.
Taylor is set to reappear at Bankstown local court in a week while Katrib who is accused of resisting and hindering police and inciting assault, will be reappear on September 15.
Toby, who is also facing various firearms and drugs charges, will appear in Burwood local court on October 24.
Aside from Monday night's shooting, there have been eight other shootings in Western Sydney since August 19.
