Sydney man admits killing Facebook friend
A man has pleaded guilty to murdering a Sydney teenager he met on Facebook.
Christopher James Dannevig, 21, of Leumeah, pleaded guilty to murdering 18-year-old Nona Belomesoff in May last year.
He was committed to the NSW Supreme Court for sentencing on October 7, after the plea was entered at Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.
The Cecil Hills teenager disappeared after telling her family she was going to meet two men she had befriended on Facebook.
Police believe the second man did not exist.
Ms Belomesoff had also told her family she had been offered work with the Wildlife Information and Rescue Education Service (WIRES).
Her body was found in bushland near Warminda Oval at Campbelltown.
Dannevig was accused of setting up a fake identity on Facebook before luring her to a meeting with the promise of work.
