Official source speaks on exchange of detainees

Riyadh, Sept 21, SPA -- Within the framework of the joint efforts
between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq to enhance security
cooperation and the on-going efforts for paving the way for exchange
of persons convicted by penalties depriving freedom, the concerned
Saudi authorities have received from the Iraqi authorities eight
Saudi detainees, an official source at the Interior Ministry said.

The source said within this context, arrangements are underway to
hand over to the Iraqi authorities' 16 Iraqi detainees in the
Kingdom.
