NECTEC unveils Internet crash detection system

BANGKOK, August 31 (TNA) - Thailand's National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) is launching its newest Internet crash detection system “Netham”.

The new software can reduce Internet crash rates by up to 90 percent, by giving timely alerts of malfunctions on the Internet system, including comprehensive network access and live device operation status reports, via a single graphical user interface.

Director of NECTEC Punsak Siriratchatapong said on Wednesday about 800 organizations have already opted-in for the software, which will soon developed for commercial use to cut the country’s software import costs.

He said NECTEC also plans to build on an anti-virus capability for the software, to promote it as an export commodity on the global market.

"Netham" is now available for free download at http://inms.in.th. (TNA)
