Iranian armed forces would cut hands of enemies: President

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Iranian armed forces would cut hands of enemies before they can target Iran.

Addressing a ceremony to mark the Sacred Defense Week marking the
anniversary of the US-backed Iraqi invasion of Iran (September 22,
1980), the president said that if anybody dares to transgress the
boundaries of the Iranian nation, the holy land and Iran's legal
interests, the country's armed forces will cut his hand before he can
pull the trigger.

He reiterated that however, the Iranian nation seeks friendship,
brotherhood, and normal relations with all world nations.

The Sacred Defence Week ceremony started on Sunday at the mausoleum of
the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, with the
parade of various military units.

Different units of Iran's military forces marched in uniform before
the president in a show of military and defense power.

Foreign delegates, military and civilian officials have taken part in
the ceremony at the site of the parade.

Latest military and defense achievements made by experts of Iran's
armed forces including tanks, modern light and heavy weapons, armed
vehicles and the IRGC-made long range missiles are also being
displayed at the parade.
