New Thai government to set up Constitution drafting assembly

BANGKOK, August 30 (TNA) - The new Thai government will soon set up a Constitution drafting assembly to study what changes are needed for the country's 2007 Charter.
Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office Surawit Khonsomboon announced the plan Tuesday, insisting that some amendments of Thailand's Constitution are now considered necessary.
Surawit said he believed that the planned Charter amendments, once completed, will further move Thailand forward with improved democratic developments. (TNA)
