Iran, Bahrain call for expansion of mutual ties
Tehran, Sept 20, IRNA Iranian and Bahraini officials held talks on strengthening mutual
cooperation in various fields.
The mutual talks were held between Iran's Ambassador to Bahrain
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin
Ahmad al-Khalifa.
Referring to Tehran-Manama growing ties, Amir-Abdollahian expressed
Iran's readiness to boost relations with Bahrain.
He dismissed unfounded allegations about Iran's nuclear program, and
said that Iran's policy focuses on friendly relations with neighborly
countries, including Bahrain.
Meanwhile, the Bahraini foreign minister called for upgrading
bilateral ties between Iran and Bahrain.
Stressing establishment of peace and tranquility in the region,
al-Khalifa appreciated Iran's policy advocating dialogue.
He said that talks and reciprocal cooperation are the best way to
solve problems.
