US forces conducts airdrop eastern Amara
Amara (NINA) – The US forces conducted an airdrop in Bani Hashim district, eastern Amara, late last night.
Maitham Lafta Al Fartousi, deputy chairman of the security and defense committees in Maysan Province, told NINA correspondent “six US planes conducted the operation and that the American soldiers were searching for particular suspects.”
The operation did not result in arresting any of the suspects, but, it terrified the locals of the city, the source added.
Fartousi denounced the operation, pointing out that the Maysan PC issued recently a decision banning the US forces from entering the province.
