Qatar Mas'haf Website to be Launched Soon- Awqaf Minister

Doha, August 27 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al-Kuwari said the ministry will launch during the next few weeks, a website for the Holy Quran (Mus haf Qatar), released in March last year.
He explained that the new site will give the history of Mus'haf Qatar and will allow a high quality browsing of all editions, and also allow users of iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and all devices that are running Android to download the programmes to browse through them. The site will have other features such as interpretations, grammar and the search for the roots of words, the Minister said.
He stressed that the process of paper publishing of Mus'haf Qatar will see a diversification and a special quality suiting with the objectives aspired by the ministry, pointing out that the project comes as part of the Awkaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry's strategic plan of action in support of the Book of God and the enhancement of its position in the community through the support of electronic and digital publishing.
The announcement by the Minister Awkaf and Islamic Affairs in came in a speech he gave last night during the closing ceremony of the International Holy Qur'an Contest of the Holy Quran (night of the young reciter, held on the stage of Qatar Cultural District (Katara) in the presence of a group of scholars and preachers from the Arab and Islamic world.(QNA)
