Regional network for human rights suggested to established
SANA'A, Sep. 20 (Saba)- Experts and activists in the field of human
rights in the Arabian peninsula has affirmed the importance of
establishing a regional network for activists of human rights.
In a workshop organized by Human Rights Information and Training
Center (HRITC) in this regard, member of the Supreme National
Anti-corruption Authority Iz al-Deen al-Asbahi made clear that the
workshop represents a first step in order to put active suggestions
on how to achieve the idea of a regional network for human rights
and how to activate it to face possible challenges at the legal,
administrative and local level.
Director of HRITC Tawfiq al-Buthaiji said that the workshop,
concluding Saturday with the participation of 25 individuals from
the Arabian Peninsula, aims at evaluating steps of the center during
the past years in implementing a number of special activities on
reinforcing awareness of principles of human rights in the Arabian
Peninsula countries.
