SPEAKER MEETS CPC SENIOR OFFICER

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel received on Wednesday, August 24 visiting Zhou Yongkang, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Secretary of CPC Central Political and Legislative Committee.
The Speaker expressed his satisfaction with widening of the bilateral cooperation based on the good neighborhood friendly relations covering all spheres such as politics, economics, culture and humanity and with reaching a level of strategic partnership. He underlined that the official visit of Mr. Yongkang has an importance to expand the Mongolia-China relations and cooperation and to realize matters agreed at the Prime Ministerial level.
Mentioning an important role of parliaments of the countries in widening the bilateral relations and strengthening mutual confidence of the inter-citizenship ties, D.Demberel underlined that his visit to China paid in 2008 had a great importance. Moreover, D.Demberel said the Mongolia-China parliamentary group is chaired by a Vice Speaker, and added he has an aspiration to widen the ties between the State Great Khural and the National People's Congress.
In response, Mr. Yongkang said he was satisfied with visiting Mongolia in a warm atmosphere, and then conveyed to the Speaker a greeting of Wu Bangguo, the Chairman and Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the NPC.
Mr. Yongkang underlined China has aspirations to deepen the bilateral strategic partnership relations by implementing works discussed at the governmental level and to enrich them with new contents and objective joint works. “Our country is ready to help Mongolia to expand the mining sector of Mongolia developing the economics. We also have an aspiration to intensify the exchange of students by expanding the ties of trade, culture, education and humanity,” Mr. Yongkang stressed.
At the end of the meeting, the Speaker confirmed his invitation for Wu Bangguo to visit Mongolia, and conveyed his greeting to him.
Present at the meeting were G.Batkhuu, a Vice Speaker and head of the Mongolia-China parliamentary grou; Ya.Batsuuri, head of the Standing committee on security and foreign policy; D.Khayankhyarvaa, head of the Standing committee on budget; Ts.Tsengel MP, deputy head of the Mongolia-China parliamentary group; and other officials.
