Qatar to participate in 2011 IAAF World Championships

Doha, August 24 (QNA) - Qatar Athletics team will participate in the prestigious 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics scheduled from August 27 until September 4 in Daegu city, Republic of Korea.
The athletics team delegation which is chaired by Yousef Abdulmalek, the executive director of Qatar Association of Athletics Federation (QAAF) will be flown to Daegu, S. Korea on Wednesday.
Prominent Qatari athletes will represent the country in the event including Mutaz Issa, Femi Seun, Hamza Draiwish and Abobakar Kamal.
Daegu city of S. Korea is the fourth largest city with a population of more than 2.5 million, is no stranger to hosting major sporting events.
