Red Crescent distributes relief goods
Mirpurkhas, August 19, 2011 (PPI): Anjuman Hilal-e-Ahmar (Red Crescent) Sindh chapter distributed relief goods in the rain-hit rural areas of Mirpurkhas on Friday.
Hilal-e-Ahmar Sindh Vice President Rais Ahmed Khan said a vast area is still inundated under accumulated rainwater and thousands of people await rescue and relief. He said Red Crescent and Rotary Club volunteers are trying their best to facilitate affected people. He said so far the Red Crescent has distributed relief goods amongst 500 displaced families.
