LEE MYUNG-BAK RECEIVES PARLIAMENT SPEAKER


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker has been received by Lee Myung-bak, the President of the Republic of Korea. They have exchanged views on the bilateral relations and cooperation.
At the beginning the meeting, the Korean President expressed his satisfaction with widening of the Mongolia-Korea relations and cooperation, and underlined that the two countries reached an agreement to bring the bilateral ties into a level of Comprehensive Partnership.
The Speaker said that he was satisfied with agreeing of the State Heads for developing the Mongolia-Korea relations with Comprehensive Partnership principles. D.Demberel underlined an importance of the role of inter-parliamentary collaboration in expanding the bilateral cooperation and deepening the inter-citizenship ties and mutual understanding, and then mentioned that mutual visits and meetings have been regularizing between members of the State Great Khural and the National Assembly of South Korea.
Mr. Lee mentioned that the sides have agreed to deepen the bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields during the high-level meeting held between the State Heads and another meeting held with the Prime Minister, and informed that the South Korean government has decided to grant a soft-loan of USD 300 million to Mongolia for supporting the economic growth and human development.
Present at the meeting were O.Enkhtuvshin, head of the Mongolian People's Party faction at parliament; Ch.Saikhanbileg, head of the Democratic Party's faction at parliament; B.Batbayar, deputy head of the Mongolia-South Korea inter-parliamentary group at the State Great Khural; and other officials.
