FOREIGN MINISTRY MANAGERS TO SEND HOME HIDAYAH FROM KURDISTAN

Jakarta, Sept 19 (ANTARA) - The Foreign Ministry has sent home Hidayah to Indonesia, who had worked in a conflict area in Kurdistan, N Iraq.

"Hidayah binti Sugiono is one of three Indonesian domestic helpers in Kurdistan, who has arrived in their hometows in Indonesia this month," Director of Protection of Indonesians and Legal Entities at the Foreign Ministry Teguh Wardoyo said here on Friday.

Hidayah was taken home after undergoing medical check-ups and treatments at the Kramat Jati police hospital and given some money.
Last year, the foreign ministry also managed to send home ten Indonesians trapped in a conflict area in Iraq.
At present, it was estimated that there were still some Indonesians in the dangerous zone.
As to Hidayah's homecoming, the foreign ministry reminded people with relatives living or working in dangerous areas in Iraq to keep the foreign ministry informed.
However the sending and placement of Indonesian workers to Kurdistan was deemed a mistake and a violation of Law No 39, 2004, on the placement and protection of workers in foreign countries.
