Gold prices keep rising

BANGKOK, August 22 (TNA) - Gold prices in Thailand have kept rising in line with the global trend, as analysts have warned investors to beware and be cautious of the fluctuating world gold market currently.

Thailand's Gold Traders Association reported that gold prices further soared by some 300 baht on the domestic market on Monday morning, with gold bars sold at 26,500 baht per baht-weight and gold ornaments at 26,900 baht per baht-weight.

MTS Gold Futures Co., Ltd. assessed that world gold prices have been fluctuating upward with their two-notch resisting thresholds, at 1,880 and 1,900 US dollars per ounce respectively, saying that world gold prices climbed to 1,870 US dollars per ounce on Monday morning, soon after the global markets opened with the prices of gold starting from 1,853 US dollars per ounce.

Meanwhile, analysts suggested that investors remain on high alert for any gold trade or investment currently to avoid any loss amid the vulnerable world gold market. (TNA)
